Emotive Travel Marketing built a youth-focused campaign around influencer-led content, combining video, TikTok, Meta, YouTube and retargeting to make the Territory’s adventure, culture and backpacking experiences feel both aspirational and achievable.

The Northern Territory needed to establish itself as the ultimate Australian destination for young British travellers, while driving conversions through Real Aussie Adventures. The challenge was to make the NT's authentic backpacking, adventure and lifestyle experiences relevant to a youth audience — and to showcase Darwin, the Top End and the Red Centre through content that felt native to the platforms young travellers use.
Emotive Travel Marketing built a multi-channel campaign around influencer-led video content, combining VOD, YouTube, Meta, TikTok and tactical display. Emotive Travel Marketing used interest-based and contextual targeting to reach young British travellers interested in wildlife, nature, food, culture, outdoor and adventure travel. The campaign then moved engaged users further down the funnel through tactical display and Meta carousel creative, showcasing specific Real Aussie Adventures packages and driving audiences to bookable experiences.
Youth: The campaign delivered 10,142,763 impressions and reached 2,671,433 unique users — 134% of KPI. Video activity generated 3,533,545 views, 431% of goal, while clicks/arrivals reached 27,838, 135% of target.
Engagement: Total interactions reached 729,683, more than 13 times the original KPI. TikTok was the strongest channel for CTR, delivering 5,642 clicks at 0.57%, while tactical display generated 6,331 clicks at 0.43% and more than 409,000 interactions.
Audience: The campaign resonated particularly strongly with 25–30-year-olds, with engagement also notably higher among women. Audience behaviour pointed towards a generation looking for travel that combines adventure, cultural immersion, personal discovery and experiences that feel visually inspiring and shareable.
